Matriculated in 1982. Obtained B Iuris LLB at University of Johannesburg (1988) and LLM (Mercantile Law) at UNISA (1993). Served as a Public Prosecutor (1986 – 1989). Did articles of clerkship at Dyason Attorneys in Johannesburg (1989 – 1991 and was admitted as an attorney. Served as a Civil Magistrate at the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court (1991 – 1996). Admitted as an advocate and joined the Johannesburg Bar (1996). Practiced as an advocate at the Johannesburg Bar (1996 – 2010), specialising in general commercial law, consumer credit law, insolvency law, company law, credit security law, constitutional aspects of civil asset forfeiture and constitutional aspects of local government law. Appeared in various courts, including the Supreme Court of Appeal and several appearances in the Constitutional Court. Became an entrepreneur and CEO of a successful company operating in the field of consumer credit. Gained extensive experience in various aspects of commerce (2010 – 2018). Decided to pursue my passion for the law and re-joined the Johannesburg Bar (2019). Practicing in the fields of general commercial litigation, consumer credit law, administrative law, local government procurement law and family law.
