Brief curriculum vitae

Farhana Patel commenced practice as an admitted attorney in June 1998. She commenced employment at the Office of the State Attorney in Johannesburg in early 1999. In 2000 Farhana was admitted to appear in the High Court of South Africa. Whilst doing so, she gained experience in the following areas:

In 2007 Farhana did a Certificate Course in Environmental Law at the University of Johannesburg.

Farhana joined the Johannesburg Bar in 2015 and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court in the same year. She currently practices as an advocate holding chambers at Group 21 in Sandown Village.

Farhana has appeared in the following tribunals and Courts of Law:

• Constitutional Court of South Africa;
• Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein;
• High Courts in Johannesburg and Pretoria;
• Various Magistrates’ Courts;
• The Development Facilitation Tribunal
• Farhana has also set as an adjudicator in National Examination Irregularities Enquiries.
