Brief curriculum vitae
Labour law and employment relations specialist who has worked as a part time Commissioner for the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), various Bargaining Councils and Tokiso Private Dispute Resolution Agency. As a commissioner I specialise in arbitrations, conciliations, mediations, facilitations, training, chairing and prosecuting in disciplinary hearings as well as presiding in appeal hearings. I have eighteen years of experience in handling labour disputes as a commissioner.
I also rendered services to many private companies and various Government departments. I also worked in the Pension Fund Adjudicator’s office to resolve pension funds related disputes. I was also appointed by the Department of Health as a chairperson of the Mental Health Review Board in Westrand.
I hold Bjuris, LLB degrees from Unisa and Master’s degree in Labour law and Employment Relations from RAU (Currently known as UJ). My previous experience before working as a commissioner was legal advisor (full time) for the Automobile Association of South Africa (The AA of RSA). I am a goal oriented individual who is passionate about what I do and strives to provide the best service to my clients.
