Brief curriculum vitae:

George joined the Bar in 1996 and took silk in 2014. His practice consists mostly of commercial litigation. George has held acting judicial appointments in 2014 and 2016, he has also been appointed as an arbitrator in various commercial disputes.

George has served on the bar council on five occasions between 2004 – 2015.

He is also the co-author of the Normans Law of Purchase and Sale in South Africa Fifth Edition.

George is a founding member of Group 21,  and has been elected as Group Leader since 1 March 2023.
