Brief curriculum vitae:

I studied and obtained both my degrees through UNISA.
I was a prosecutor then a magistrate in the district and regional criminal courts and then in the civil courts.
I started practicing as an advocate in August 1998, did pupillage in 2007, and was admitted to the JSA in December 2008.
My practice is a mixed practice but I specialise in Family Law.

CENTRE FOR CHILD LAW v NN & others. Case number: 32053/2014 NGHC. In this matter the Centre for Child Law approached the Court where two children were swopped at birth. This matter is of interest as it is the first matter in South Africa where the Court ordered a de facto adoption. I acted on a pro bono basis for one of the mothers. Despite the historical importance of this matter, it has not been reported.

Ex parte Goosen and Others 2020 (1) SA 569 (GJ). This matter relates to the appointment of advocates that qualified to be admitted prior to the Legal Practice Act coming into operation. I acted for Ms Goosen, the first applicant.

N D v M D (24953/2019) [2020] ZAGPJHC 228; [2021] 1 All SA
909 (GJ) (16 September 2020) This matter relates to the appointment of a liquidator in an out of community of property marriage with accrual and Sect 8(1) of the MPA.
The issues decided in this matter are important issues in respect of the Matrimonial Property Act and I expect it to be reported.
