Brief curriculum vitae:

Jade was admitted as an attorney in 2021, focusing on labour litigation and dispute resolution. She later expanded her practice of law to include general litigation, commercial litigation and copyright disputes.

In 2024, Jade joined the JSA pupillage program under the mentorship of Kameel Premhid and was called to the bar in December 2024. Her fields of interest and areas of practice includes general litigation, defamation law, criminal law, commercial and competition law, constitutional law, administrative law, defamation and hate speech law.

Currently, Jade is briefed as junior counsel in all courts of South Africa, including the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court. Her practice has a particular interest in constitutional litigation, including parliamentary and election law and has been briefed in related matters before South African courts as well as the Electoral and Supreme Court of Namibia.

Jade has recently completed her Master’s degree in Medical Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and has a special interest in healthcare law and health market related competition law.
