Karen Pawson

I hold a BCom and LLB from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University

Prior to establishing my independent practice, I gained valuable experience as a candidate attorney and as a legal and administrative assistant in a corporate environment, which enables me to approach matters with both a practical and strategic perspective.

I completed my pupillage during 2015 and became a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates (“the Society”) on 1 December 2015.

I resigned from the JSA in April 2020 but nevertheless continued practicing full-time as a referral advocate and have practiced as such for more than 10 years with extensive experience in civil litigation, motion proceedings and legal opinions.

I rejoined the JSA in September 2026.
