Brief curriculum vitae:
Mpho enrolled for pupillage in 2020 and commenced with practice in 2021. He is a dual member of Johannesburg and Bhisho Bars and has a wide range of general litigation. Drawing from over twelve years-experience as in-house counsel in local government sphere, he practices in the labour, commercial, local government and administrative law.
Mpho has appeared in internal Disciplinary Hearings, SALGBC, CCMA, Magistrates Court, Labour Court and High Court (including criminal and civil appeals) and was, together with a colleague, successfully appealed in Sibongile Mani v The State (Dubbed ‘The NSFAS Millionaire’.
He holds LLB and is a candidate for LLM (Competition) (a joint program by the University of Fort Hare and Competition Commission) wrapping up a thesis on:
‘The Comparative Regulatory Analysis of the Criminalisation of Cartels and the Corporate Leniency Policy in South Africa’
