Brief curriculum vitae:

Nirvana practised as an Attorney until 1999. She was appointed as a Legal Advisor and Mediator at the Automobile Association of South Africa in 2000.

In 2001 she was appointed as a Senior Legal Advisor at SAPS Provincial Head Office, Gauteng and was promoted in 2003 to Section Head: Legal Support: Resources, Gauteng at the rank of Brigadier. She specialised in Arbitrations, Labour Litigation, chaired Disciplinary Hearings and was also the Provincial Negotiator for Gauteng SAPS Management at the Safety and Sectoral Bargaining
Council.

Nirvana was called to the Bar in 2017 and has a general litigation practice consisting of mostly Labour Law, Matrimonial and Family Law, Banking and Finance and Commercial Law. She is a member of the Gauteng Family Law Forum.

She was appointed as a Chairperson to the Tax Board for the Hearing of Income Tax Appeals in January 2024.

Academic qualification:

B.Proc, LLB, LLM (Labour Law), Practical Project Management Certificate (With Distinction), Advanced Short Course in Business Rescue, FAArb (SA).
