Nzumbululo Silas, Siphuma

Nzumbululo holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from North-West University (NWU), a Master of Laws (LLM) in Constitutional Property Law and Contract Law (cum laude), and a Doctor of Laws (LLD) in Property Law, both from Stellenbosch University. He also holds a Level 1 certificate in German from Konstanz University, Germany, and a Level 1 certificate in Afrikaans from Stellenbosch University.

Before his admission as an advocate and joining the bar in December 2024, Nzumbululo held various positions, including Acting Head of the Department of Jurisprudence at Unisa College of Law, Chief-Classifier at the Film and Publication Board (FPB), Editor-in-Chief of the South African Mercantile Law Journal (SA Merc LJ), Senior Lecturer for Private International Law at Unisa, Enforcement Committee member at FPB, and Legal Researcher at Stellenbosch University.

He has published papers and presented research papers at international and national conferences in the USA, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Throughout his academic career, he received numerous accolades, including a Medal and Certificate from the Vice-Chancellor of Stellenbosch University for graduating at the top of his class in his Master of Laws degree in 2013.

Nzumbululo’s legal expertise includes advising several law firms on property and contract law matters and providing counsel to a leading telecommunications company on commercial issues, including negotiating one of the significant acquisition deals in the industry.

His practice covers a broad range of areas in commercial and property law, contract law, telecommunications law, and constitutional property law.
