Onthatile was called to the Bar in December 2024.
she holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the North-West University (Mafikeng Campus).
Prior to her call to the Bar, she practiced as an admitted attorney under the employ of the esteemed Maponya Inc, having joined the firm in 2015 as a candidate attorney. During October 2020 Onthatile converted from attorney of the High Court to Advocate of the High Court and began practicing as independent counsel in 2021 until her to the Bar.
