Brief curriculum vitae:

Elmien obtained her LLB degree (Cum Laude) in 2002 from the University of Pretoria. She completed her articles (and Practical Legal Training examinations) in 2004 with a well-established Law Firm in Pretoria and in 2005 joined the Bar. She has a diverse practice and appears in various forums including Bargaining Councils, the CCMA, Labour Courts, ad hoc Disciplinary Proceedings (as Chairperson, Initiator or Representative), Private Arbitrations (as Arbitrator or Representative) and the Land Claims Court.
